Joseph Fischl established his eponymous gallery in 1892, to serve
the artists and residents of Manhattan's Upper East Side.
The gallery's current proprietor, Paulo Camilo Garcia, is a native of
Bogota, Colombia, and a noted photographer and multi-media artist.
His vision is to expand the gallery's role as a vibrant and engaging center for art and art appreciation in the local community, and to actively support the work of local artists. Future events will
include
guest speakers, art competitions, and stagings of contemporary plays.
